Full Specs: Melt Point 130 - 135 F. Color: White / Translucent. Wax is not designed for use in SPA or Hand Treatment.
  • General Use: Our Wax is odorless, colorless, can be used as lubricant for woodwork, furniture, zippers, skis. Great for Waterproofing. Wax is FDA complaint it can safely be used in canning and bottle sealing. Our new Powder presentation makes it easier to melt! Candle making: Paraffin wax can achieve different looks, out of the box wax will mottle, blended with soy coconut wax for a creamier look. For a Rustic finish pour cold 150-160 F. For a really shiny finish add DCS candle additive at 1-2%.
  • TIPS: Straight out of box melt to 175-180 F, Add 5% Fragrance Oil, Mix, Pour, Wax will shrink, re pour or use heat gun to achieve a flat shiny top. Let wax cool and then Cure for a week or more. Curing is important. Candle will have a mottled look. Basic formula = 16 oz of Paraffin + 1 oz Fragrance Oil. If you use more than 5% F Oil, fragrance will blead. For higher fragrance loads, smooth creamy finish or wax melts / tarts, blend paraffin 50/50 with our Coconut or Soy Waxes.
  • Common Issues: Sink Holes, Shrinkage: Both are common in candle making, this can be easily fixed by re pouring wax. - Unclean Burn: Not using an appropriate wick, too much Fragrance Oil can make soot. - Cold / Hot throw: Let candles cure for 1-2 weeks, Use appropriate Fragrance Oil. - Poor Adhesion to Container: warm container before pouring will help, or blend with a softer wax (coco or soy) for a creamier finish.
